Well aside from the usual business here at styleisle HQ, there has been some new additions to my life as well as some news!

I am so thrilled to be teaming up with Swarovksi to celebrate all things poweful with the launch of their latest piece the Power Bracelet. You might have seen this on my Instagram stories over the past few days BUT! I will be at the Swarovski store on Grafton Street, Dublin tomorrow, 27th July to share some of my favourite pieces on my Insta Stories!

La Mer Spa Adare Manor

I am obsessed with La Mer, and if you are a fan too, then pop along to their pop up shop in Dublin today and tomorrow to have a full experience of the brand. Have your skin matched to the perfect moisturiser, try out their incredible foundation and even check out the miracle broth bar. All the info and location is here in on the La Mer Pop Shop site.

I bought myself the most amazing River Island blouse last week that I think, not only looks way more expensive than its €45, but is cut so well it can only provide good things! The puff sleeve, being a big trend hanging around for AW19, this piece, to me, will stand the test of time. Bag it now – here is the link to shop!

All this week I have been trying out some new products and I hope you are liking my IGTVs! I wanted to focus on using the same products lots of different ways so you can make the most out of the palettes you have. One great one that I recently got my hands on is the Sweet Peach palette from Too Faced (it’s available in Arnotts) for face and body. There are so many tones catered for, and I love the peach blush. Buff on with a blush brush!

I have been an avid follower of Diet Prada on Instagram since they started. Not only an authority in fashion, but the duo behind the account are responsible for exposing some fairly controversial behaviour in the industry. This week all eyes have been on the report of inappropriate behaviour of two photographers, Marcus Hyde and Timor Emek, favoured by Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, towards models on instagram and on shoots. I could not believe what I read, with models sharing their horrific experiences with these two so-called professionals. It disgusts me that this kind of thing goes on and that models, both inexperienced and more mature can be treated in such a way.

@Timur Emek, you may as well delete your account now lol. The New York-based Turkish photographer who has shot for @victoriassecret , is the latest to join the ranks of sleazy, clout-abusing celeb/supermodel male photographers who feel entitled to women's bodies. Along with the forced crotch-grabbing account from @byhaleybowman , Emek also offered "help" in the industry to @lizamarieju in exchange for "some fun". His response when asked to clarify? "I am a man… think about it :-)". 🤢🤢🤢. The photographer also went as far as lying to Turkish model @deniiztekiin in June 2017, telling her that her agency at the time had already approved a topless shoot, which of course didn't actually happen as he had already been on their agency blacklist of photographers. It's a relief to know that there are agencies out there that refuse to be complicit and hopefully more will step it up, but for every model with an agency, there are dozens of girls who are navigating independent modeling work on their own. The stories on the rest of the slides are unfortunately all too familiar. #TimesUp for these shitty men. β€’ #model #instagrammodel #timuremek #photographer #model #supermodel #celebrity #predator #creep #victoriassecret #runway #vsfashionshow #modelingagency #alessandraambrosio #candaceswanepoel #vsangel #romeestrijd #clout #lame #womensrights #power #liar #dietprada
