The world of retail is swarmed by discounts year round. Sign up for a newsletter, get 25% your next purchase, or refer a friend and get money back. You can basically avail of a sale whenever you like. So on Black Friday, I feel there is no point in buying regular things that you can pick up whenever you like. To me, the more frugal way of doing it is to look at investments. Whether it’s technology, or a luxury handbag, this is where you can really save money.
I’ve been keeping an eye on my favourite premium websites to see what’s worth getting.
Net A Porter will have up to 30% off which is an amazing saving. And some pieces I love are practical and well worth the investment thanks to being well made and in a classic style.
Get pieces that will outlast any trend. For this purchase, I recommend blazers, coats, a staple pair of boots or a structure dress that will all blend in with any personal style. My Theresa not only have a sale, but if you use the code BLACK10 you’ll get an extra 10% off at the checkout.
As with the above, a decent pair of boots should last you years. They need some TLC such as polishing and re heeling but if you keep them safe, they will keep you well dressed. My recommendation is to look for styles that you always wear rather than buying as they are a bargain. As you will have noticed from my instagram, I love an ankle boot and a knee high so I’ll be searching those out this week.
One thing I look out for during this week is jeans. Some of my most wanted brands are regularly reduced online. Shopbop is great for denim and this week their black Friday discount will be up to 50%. Brands such as AGOLDE and MOTHER are well worth a look.
