London Fashion Week is drawing to a close but it’s time to share my outfit posts! I fell hard for this outfit from Zara, which is part of the new Autumn Winter collection. Tulle is a great fabric and it feels very elegant; even in the daytime! The elasticated waist creates shape and it means I can tuck in any kind of top to make sure I have a waist. The top is lace with a white seam through it to brighten it up, and I love the layer effect this has.
I’m a bit afraid of additional fabric on tops as I already have a large enough bust line, so adding to it is never preferable. This lace layer floats nicely and it has enough weight to gently hang along my body. I have to mention that this top is totally see though, so you are basically just wearing a layer of lace. I added a nude vest underneath to keep me warm and yet it stays invisible.
Shoes are always the number one thing to think about when at London Fashion Week as you have to stay comfortable as well as chic. This pair are from the Autograph range in Marks & Spencer, and I can testify to their comfort. I reckon they’ll look great with some black tights too and short skirts. I bought these ones online and they come in burgundy in case you want a pop of colour.
The thing about London Fashion Week is that outfits are key, but I’ve changed my approach to wear things that I would wear at home. You need to be yourself and not pretend to dress to coincide with the London look per se. I spent a lot of time trying to fit in and dress like everyone else, and now I’ve changed my mind. It’s about looking like me, embracing my own style. So that’s the way it’s going to be from now on!
