Do you know I have never been to Chester. I have only ever known it for its Tudor style buildings and Hollyoaks. But I have recently discovered another reason to like the place. The Editeur, in business since February 2011, has become Chester’s answer to Liberty, and has confirmed its place amongst its retail contemporaries for being a destination of high end designers and a relaxed place to peruse its collections. Stocking collections from Acne, Max Mara, Matthew Williamson and Seafolly, to give you an idea, the store clearly is somewhere I want to visit. Appointed as London Editor to the company, Anne Look joined in her role following a meeting joint partners Adam Williams and Annabel Mount-Kirk, who clearly love what they do, channelling passion, creativity and entrepreurship into their business. From her Huffington Post column, Anne explains “the minute I met Adam I knew I’d done the right thing in coming. The morning battle was an instant and distant memory. Creatively was the order of the day from here”. How I do love when creative people join forces!
If you are in the UK or having a stroll around Chester, do pop in and take a look at a store which hopefully will expand to other fashion capitals in the future.
