Pink. It’s the colour of the season isn’t it? If you don’t like it, I think you might be in trouble. I have been undecided when it comes to a particular shade of pink, but when I got my hands on this candy stripe pink dress from Penneys, my mind was made up. The answer? Mix your shades. Pink dresses are in abundance but this one has that somethin’ somethin’. The bow details make it super pretty, and you can adjust them depending on how you want to wear it. The v-neck line is so flattering, but what makes it are two things. Firstly, it has a little sleeve. I can’t say I love my arms, so a bit of coverage is a good thing in my book. Then the cut is just perfect; the shift style of it makes it very forgiving.

And it’s not super short either. So for an Irish summer is a great option. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, I feel a little bit lovely wearing this. I can’t say I have a lot of pink dresses but I think my mind might be changed now I have this one. I think I’ll add a bit of edge to it by draping a leather jacket over it and maybe adding a pair of cream suede ankle boots (I have seen some in Penneys this week).

This dress is available in store now, and it’s also available in a blue/navy blue combination.
