Keeping your skin in perfect condition in muggy weather can be a bit tricky and my summer beauty regime seems to change every year to accommodate the changing elements. SPF, moisturiser, primer, anti-shine products are all things to consider but I get weighed down with beauty products that it’s hard to know what to use and what suits me. So this year, I’ve done my research and I think I’ve come up with a summer beauty regime that works for me and my volatile skin. So what have I been using?
Neostrata Ultra Brightening Cleanser
Oh this one is a good one. Neostrata have been making skincare for many years and thanks to plenty of medical research they have created products that really work. This cleanser is perfect for my skin as it keeps redness down and helps my skin to look toned and even. After using this, I apply the ultra brightening serum (at night only) for the added benefits of a deeper treatment that this gives. It also smells of oranges, and that’s always pleasant.
Olay Regenerist Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream
This daily moisturiser is really light to the touch and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. The idea behind it is to hydrate all day and fade the look of uneven skin tone over time to regenerate the look of the skin. My skin definitely looks more even and under make up, this Olay moisturiser has helped my skin to glow in a natural and healthy way. Thumbs up from me on this one! I should add that the eye cream to go with this is also pretty great!
Clarisonic Deep Pore Decongesting Clay Mask
This mask is for use with the Clarisonic and the dedicated deep pore brush head. Using this twice a week helps to loosen dead skin cells and refine any larger pores. You apply the mask, leave it for ten to fifteen minutes and rinse using the Clarisonic and Deep Pore Daily Cleanser. My skin feels exceptionally clean after this and a deeper treatment every so often is so good for my skin. Clarisonic devices truly revolutionary and are very much worth the investment.
Oh and one more thing…
This may not be related to my face in anyway, but part of my summer beauty regime is keeping my nails nice, pretty and very healthy. The very fabulous Michele Burke has been doing great work on my nails this summer. Her new salon in Dundrum is an oasis of all things girly and I highly recommend you pay her a visit for some nail love! Take a look at mine!
