I have a lot of leather jackets but I am trying to get used to styling a studded leather jacket which I am blogging for this sponsored post with Penneys. Sometimes when you see details like studs you think “biker” but I beg to differ on this one. Yes, it has all the accents associated with a typical biker jacket which always work well with skinny jeans, but this one has, I don’t know, a little quelque chose de spécial (I think since it’s Paris Fashion Week and the last on the season’s calendar I should add in a little French). You may have noticed a little monochome trend this week in my Penneys’ posts as I decided to embrace this look for the last time this season. I need to move onto colour but I am finding it hard to tear myself away from my old reliable look. But back to the subject at hand, we need to talk about these trousers. Now they haven’t hit the shop floors just yet, but will do soon. We are marrying two trends here; the cropped trouser and the ruffle. Oh yeah, and the check. So really if you like these, you will be one walking dedicated follower of fashion. To keep with my monochrome theme I went with a simple light weight knit jumper (I’ve had this one a while!) and on a very chilly Monday in Trinity College it kept me warm. Where is Spring???
I love metallic accessories and this oversize clutch will basically fit your entire life. Well maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but your night out for sure. It works well when styling a studded leather jacket as it picks out the silver details. I never really go over the top with accessories on a look like this since there is so much going on already. And one thing I always forget to point out is my make up! The make up look for this outfit needs to be pared back so I avoided a strong lip and eye and went for neutral tones that have a pinkish tone. The lippie is from the PS range which I am sure you have found when browsing around Penneys stores.
The jacket and jumper are in Penneys/Primark stores now and the bag and trousers will hit stores later in the season! Oh and the loafers are my own!
