Beauty Update: New Releases for Autumn…

The 1970s have had a huge influence in beauty throughout spring and summer but come Autumn colour is being given a little more depth as zingy citrus hues transition into luxurious and tempting jewel tones. “Barely there” make-up, seen at many runway shows including Balmain and Chanel’s Cruise collection last season is also being turned up a notch with warm chocolates and glimmering metallics taking its place instead – but you don’t have to take my word for it; check out the new beauty releases winging their way to our shores very soon….

Limited Edition: Chanel Lumières Byzantines:

Creative director of Chanel make-up Peter Philips, says their exquisite new collection for A/W 2011 is  ”An ode to Istanbul and the rich Byzantine stonework aesthetic”. The jewel in the crown of this series is without a doubt the show stopping Lumières Byzantine palette which has been limited to a release of just 1500 globally. With its 5 shimmering, creamy shades that can be used as either eye shadows or skin highlighters, this palette is a sure sign that glimmering metallics will be on the top of designers lists next season.

Other products (that aren’t limited edition) featured in The Lumières Byzantines collection are the Regard Signé de Chanel palette in “Topkapi”, an embossed eye shadow quad of gleaming metallics as well as the glittering blushers Rouge and Or. The eternally classic Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick has been given a little twist as well, resulting in the lustrous shade of Rouge Byzantin.

Lancome 29 St Honoré:

This autumn/winter Lancome pay tribute to their roots with the latest collection being inspired by, and baring the name of the street in Paris where the brand’s legendary boutique “House of Lancome” is located. The 29 Saint Honoré series contains everything you could possibly want to create a classic Parisian chic look including eye palettes as well as classic nail & lip colours. There is also the precision liquid eyeliner, perfect for keeping up with the cats-eye trend for winter. The centerpiece of the collection is undoubtedly their incredible “Maison Blush”; a blend of soft peach and pink with subtle shimmer which is sure to shoot to the very top of many a wish list! The collection will be unveiled and released nationwide from the middle of August.

Laura Mercier Canyon Collection:

Laura Mercier products are universally known as being the go-to brand for naturally enhancing any complexion. Come the latter months of the year caramels, chocolate and earth tones will definitely rise in popularity, making The Canyon collection of tonal shades a good investment for every day wear.

Included in the collection are 6 new creamy textured eye shadows which will work very well for developing a soft glow on younger skin and equally as well on more mature eyes because they don’t look dry or cakey. The dynamic, glittering “Lustre” Eye Shadow is a stand out piece reminiscent of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick; it houses 4 different shades that can be mixed together or used separately with a smaller brush for precision application. Rounding off the Canyon Fall collection are the lovely new lip colours which give hydration & and lasting finish and shine to lips throughout the day!

MAC Glam Glass:

MAC will be unveiling their latest collection of revamped lip glosses in the US and Canada 28th July and world wide by 15th August. The Glam Glass glosses come complete with a much silkier, non-sticky formula, innovative sculpting applicator and serious high shine impact. The series of 11 new glosses are bright, bold and fun with colours like “Tour De Fabulous”, ” Style-Packed” and “Knockout” being the initial eye catching shades. As an extension to the range, there are also 8 new lip pencils to compliment the glosses, allowing for precision application and to boost the tone of each colour effortlessly.

Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense:

The Eyes to Kill Intense collection is inspired by the rare stones of Italy and is a truly spectacular and ground breaking series of 12 eye colour shades including Blast of Blue, Purpura, Khaki Pulse, Gold Blitz, Sweet Fire & Rocksand. The ColorfilTM hybrid technology behind these new eye shadows allows for 24 hour water, sweat and crease resistance and has a glide on formula that is as smooth as a cream shadow but light as powder.
