It’s getting so cold, and this week I have been trying to stay cosy, so I thought a post on how to style winter knitwear might be rather apt. There are so many knits to choose from but having searched for the perfect jumper I found this Oasis Pattern Jumper which I just love. It’s incredibly soft so there is no risk of itch! The neckline is nice and high without being a polo neck so there really is no need to wear anything underneath. I find it hard to find knits that don’t make me look bulky, so with the hip length of this and longer length sleeve, it creates a nice silhouette so it was a “must-mention” for a winter knitwear blog post. I like to wear shorter sweaters with boots and a heel to make my lower half look longer, so I went with these River Island Over The Knee Boots which are a huge trend this season. I can’t do a high heel anymore (my poor toes!) so the mid heel on this really sets them apart. I can happily wear these all day too.
I’m sure you know from reading my blog that I live in skinny jeans, and I recently acquired Frame Skinny Jeans from Brown Thomas. They come up a little higher around the waist which is a must when wearing a shorter style top. I also have to say that these jeans give really good bum! I generally go for a darker denim which, for me, is more flattering than a lighter wash, and they look appropriate in the Winter as well. These jeans are more of a premium brand, but as an investment piece they should last for years.
I’ve started to do my hair with a wave recently; it’s wind proof! So if it gets blustery then I know the body will still be there which I just can’t get with a straighter style. There are plenty of tools to choose from to get this look, and I have been using the Glamoriser which you can get in Argos. Maybe add it to your Christmas list? Speaking of Christmas, I will be starting my Christmas Gift Guides this week so if you need inspiration stay tuned!
I also want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your lovely comments on the blog, twitter and social media about my style posts. I’m trying to give a bit of new life to the blog to make sure I post things I know you’ll like. So, again, thank you for being superstars! I hope you’ve been watching my You Tube and if there’s anything you’d like to see on it, just leave a comment below!
