How to Style A Coloured Leather Jacket

How to wear animal print

I’ve been trying to get better at You Tube despite having my channel for four whole years! So I decided to take the tutorial route for this one and show you how to style a coloured leather jacket. I love that the classic jacket is embracing the rainbow and this shade caught my eye when I visited the showroom in London over fashion week. I have been wearing it a lot (which you might have seen on my Instagram) and I think it’s a bit more versatile than it lets on.

I think it needs to be kept casual so I bought this Topshop shirt over the weekend which is so soft and comfortable. I have it tucked into a denim skirt from Penneys which I have for at least two years; it is a light enough fabric not to be bulky. The print has subtle hints of yellow throughout the floral print. I like layering a more vibrant top under a block colour for Autumn, it adds some much needed colour. We tend to stay in dark colours don’t we?

My reliable “uniform” for winter always involves opaque tights and black ankle boots. I got these mid-heel black boots from Carvela this month and they are so comfortable. I am delighted that high heels aren’t the dominant show trend this year. The bag is also black, and it was given to me by Arnotts to blog about. It’s structured to add some formality, but it fits so much! I also love the quilting detail (very Chanel!) and it can be worn as a cross body too.

But who is responsible for the whole coloured leather trend? Well, you only have to take a look at Louis Vuitton’s Spring Summer 2016 collection for inspiration, so it’s hanging around for the latter half of the year too. Now if you feel totally inspired by blog post on the coloured leather jacket you can shop the look below!

PS I’d love to know what you think of my video too! Is there anything you would like to see?
