USC Fashion Haul

One of my favourite past times is shopping (could you tell?) and last week I got to shop with a difference by partnering with USC, a new shopping destination on Dublin’s North Earl Street. Imagine a shop where you have global labels, beauty products and a shoe department to drool over, can you do that? Well, that’s exactly what USC is. I love collaborations like this where I get to experience a shop for myself and pick out items that I know fit into my style, as well as the trends I know you’ll love. As we approach Christmas, we are on the lookout for gifts for our loved ones, as well as the odd treat for ourselves. USC tasked me with finding and styling outfits for myself, as well as taking in a little Christmas shopping.

The store hosts brands that we all know, such as Puma, Levis, Converse, Hilfiger Denim as well as its own in house ranges, including Firetrap and Soul Cal, so I was spoilt for choice. But first up, I wanted to inspect the shoes. I have such a soft spot for black ankle boots at this time of year – they make up part of my staple uniform. I tried on the most fabulous pair from Glamorous that will be great with my Christmas Day outfit (I haven’t planned that yet, but I have the shoes!) and I picked up a silver metallic boot which is right on trend. Both have a nice mid heel so I can keep comfortable. If you are after a new pair of trainers, then you can take your pick from the huge range of Converse, or try out a new label. And this is just for womenswear! The mens shoe department is more like a gallery of endless styles – I picked up a pair of casual shoes for husband that I know he’ll love. I’m not giving away too much detail as I know he’ll read this and it will spoil the surprise!

I was after some casual looks I can wear day to day, so a coat was the first thing I wanted to seek out. I picked up an oversize coat from Firetrap (I’ve been searching for one all year!) and it’s so warm! Perfect for chilly days when I am outdoors filming. To add some contrast with this look, I styled a pretty floral dress from Glamorous underneath, paired with black tights and the aforementioned black boots. This look is so comfortable! When I’m choosing key pieces for Winter I want to ensure I have lots of pieces to match them – my top tip when shopping.

I also picked up a classic cream jumper, wet look jeans, a red puffer jacket and a Levis hoodie. Let’s just say I went home armed with bags!

The thing was the challenge – to find some Christmas presents for my husband. Every year I ask him what he would like and I am met with the same phrase “I don’t know”. So this year, I’m getting him clothes; some classic pieces I know he’ll love. USC has a huge range of menswear and that includes a varied selection of denims. I opted for Tommy Hilfiger (Hilfiger Denim), knowing that he likes the style of the brand and the great fit they offer. I styled that with a slim fit shirt, as well as a Calvin Klein sweatshirt for days off work. For any of my male followers, I can highly recommend the off-duty style you can pick up at USC.

One thing I have to commend about the store is the exceptional staff. Customer service is so important, and when shops get busy towards Christmas, working in retail can be tough work! The staff at USC are unbelievable helpful, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, there is plenty of help.

This shearling jacket looks cozy and stylish, love the way you paired it with a floral print dress and black tights.
