Oh it’s exciting when a brand is the same age as me! Yep Red or Dead is 30! It all started in 1982 in Camden Market where two young fashion lovers by the name of Wayne and Gerardine Hemmingway set-up a market stall selling reworked clothing and Dr Martens that they sourced from second hand shops – They called themselves Red or Dead! From the brands DIY fashion of the 80’s on Camden Market originally for those starved of affordable fashion (their innovative designs were such a success, the stall soon pulled in the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier and Demi Moore!) Thirty years on, Red or Dead is a highly successful high street fashion brand, known and loved across three generations.
Most recently, I had the pleasure of wearing a fabulous tartan and leather jacket (in image above) which was very kindly lent to me by the brand to wear at London Fashion Week and I got snapped by so many fellow bloggers who were all ears as to where I had found this treasure of a jacket! Of all the coats and jackets I have owned, this is one of my favourite pieces! The jacket forms part of the Pearl Collection which celebrates their triumphs in fashion and is made up of some amazing pieces, all fashion forward but very wearable for this season. And of course, their campaign is just beautiful to look at! Take a look!
