London Fashion week loads on the pressure when it comes to dressing, and I don’t mean the models, I mean me. You want to do some street style snapping, get some great images for your blog, but deal with rain, public transport, getting lost in a big city, and making it to every show on your schedule without missing it.
I decided this season, I was going to dress as me. Not change to get attention from street style snappers, but wear things I would wear everyday at home. The things you see me wearing on my instagram feed. So I did some shopping, some borrowing and came up with outfits that were practical for fashion week, without compromising my personal style.
London Fashion week Day one was a beautiful day in London, blue skies and sun. Miracle. But it was cold! So I went for my new favourite coat from New Look which I just adore. It’s a marl grey and it’s incredibly minimalist and simple. I love it. Under that, I want some structure to balance my look so the jumper and shirt are from Oasis (currently in store). I cannot tell you how soft this jumper is. Cosy and chic. The jeans I have had forever and they are high waisted, fitted, and a dark denim. The best bit is they were €19.99 in H&M. Bargain.
When it comes to accessories I had a bit of fun. The amazing team at Louis Vuitton allowed me to borrow the incredible “Twist” bag for the five days of fashion week. This bag got more attention than any of my outfits, and I had to stop for so many photographers who loved it. I also loved it. My boots are one of my favourites this season from Kurt Geiger at Brown Thomas. The white boot trend is mega and if you have the current issue of Grazia you will see these prominently featured. So that was London Fashion Week day one, more OOTD to come!
