I love busy weeks. And I especially love when it’s full of lot’s of different things. The perfect start to January, and I hope starting as I mean to continue. It was straight back to business last week with Xposé and we filmed lot’s of fun things from fashion to interiors! It’s a great time to give your home a bit of a makeover and you don’t have to spend a fortune to give it a much needed spruce. I styled up quilts, cushions, candles and wall hangings all in a palette of white and blue to inject a freshness into your home for Spring.
If you are facing storage issues like me, then some decorative boxes and baskets can give you a place to keep things which also look lovely on your dressing table or on top of your drawers. Jewellery I always find difficult to store, and I found some beautiful wooden boxes in Penneys to keep your trinkets. I’m also planning to print lot’s of pictures to hang in my hall, something I have been meaning to do for an age!
January is also the time when we promise ourselves we’ll stick to the diet and go to the gym every day. Penneys new workout range is perfect for the novice gym goer as it’s so affordable. We filmed a great workout piece for Xposé at Penneys HQ. We all lusted after the amazing work out space which sadly is limited to Penneys employees! But we got to test out the practicality of the new range that caters for every kind of workout whether TRX or Pilates are your thing.
Then it was onto a new season of fashion. It’s a funny time of year with that in between seasons weather we have, so it’s a bit early to be breaking out your new Spring wardrobe. But by using pieces available now, I styled up three trends to help you get your wardrobe in shape. Denim will be huge again, but it’s very much a deconstructed, less fitted look. Penneys now stock a retro fit boyfriend jean that has a high waist but a tapered let to make it very flattering and lengthening on the lower half of your body. I also did tassles, prints and the key piece of the season, a white shirt. Minimalism is back! Take a look at the pics below!
