PENNEYS PICKS

You know how I love Penneys right? Well, since I always post my outfit images and how I style up my looks, I thought I would share my favourite items that are in store right now. Walking into a store that size with so much to choose from is a tough challenge, so fear not, I am here to help focus your shopping on some pieces which I think are very stylish buys.

I have been harping on about knitwear all season, with my way of styling everything from oversize to polo necks. I buy most of sweaters in Penneys since I wear them so much so I have included two of my must haves – the chevron style of the chenile jumper adds a difference, and will work over skirts and jeans alike. The mustard polo neck also comes in grey which you may have seen on my Instagram last week – it’s worth buying two; wear one now and save one for Spring. At €12, they won’t break the bank.

We also need to cover up, so my jacket picks focus on texture. Everyone is talking about vinyl right now, and this one has great fabric and some warmth in it as well. If you are unsure about the fabric, wear it with denim for some contrast. This time of year is great for faux furs, and Penneys have lot’s of colours. This dark berry shade caught my eye when I was styling it for Xposé and fabric is soft which is hard for synthetic fibres sometimes. It’s also a nice change from the typical black we lean towards.

Mini skirts are a firm part of my winter uniform with boots and tights. The leather one below is my absolute favourite of the season and I have been wearing it day after day. The studs give it some edge and it looks great with red I must say. If you prefer something with more pattern, then the tartan one is very pretty and will work with that mustard shade on top. Finish off the looks with the boot of the season, the “sock”. These have a midi-heel so not too high so you can dance all night.

I’ve styled the pieces below alongside some co-ordinating items in case you are looking for an outfit! And please let me know if you like the style of this post; if so, I can do some more to help you shop!
