OCTOBER WARDROBE PICKS: RED

There seems to be a red theme this week doesn’t there? Well it’s one of the seasons most talked about colour, thanks to a list of designers who championed it for Autumn Winter 2017. Max Mara’s head to toe red look, as well as Balenciaga’s red sock boots set the bar high in terms of outfit inspiration. We just need the bank balance to match. But fear not, this high street lover is here to the rescue with some affordable options to help introduce it to your wardrobe.

I love hints of red as well as using it for colour blocking. I’ve been taking my Christian Louboutin Paloma everywhere and with simple red lines it not only pays homage to the designer of the red sole, but also adds in colour to darker outfits which I live in at this time of year. My tip is to wear just one red outfit if you are not used to colour blocking with the same shade. Choose which item you think you’ll wear the most (mine is coats as you can tell from yesterday’s blog post) and think about red as the colour to seek out. I think when you go into a shop and you have a colour in mind, your eyes tend to seek those out over anything else. So whether you want a coat or boots or even a dress, here is my edit!
