Pastel Pink Jacket

The pastel pink jacket I am wearing in today’s post is just a bit special. You may have read my post on Bell Sleeves last week and so I had to shoot an outfit wearing this exact trend. I’m not one for light colours in general; sometimes I feel they can highlight my pale skin a bit too much, but with denim I think it works. Spring is here but it’s still super cold in Dublin so perhaps I am being ambitious in a light jacket but I’m trying to get out of my heavier clothes and wear something more fresh. The backdrop of the grey walls of Temple Bar are the perfect canvas for these cooler tones. I love finding new places to shoot, and thanks to my amazing photographer Brid, we always come up with something different. It’s what I love about Dublin. There is so much of the city I have grown up in that I have yet to find. Back to clothes! This look is probably what I call my “uniform” of a jacket, top and jeans which I live in. On days when I am filming Xposé or running around to meetings, I cannot find a more comfortable look. All I have to do is change up the colours and textures to fit the season. You might get a glimpse of the jeans I am wearing too which have the prettiest embroidery on the side, but I am saving those for my next blog post to tell you more so you’ll have to come back to read that!
