London Fashion Week Outfit of the Day with PurpleTag.ie

I’ve teamed up with PurpleTag.ie for this post all about boots.  When at fashion week, your feet become your priority. You have to stay comfortable and dry all day. It’s not like I have a driver to cart me around the city to shows. Oh no. It’s not that glam unless you’re Olivia Palermo. These boots are from Vagabond and are a lovely deep black suede. But their most notable quality is the mid-heel. I could stay in these all day, and I did. I love combining feminine fabrics with a more masculine shoe for contrast. So I went with this look for a very wet and dreary day one. What is it with fashion week and rain? I don’t get it. But I was nice and cosy in this look and my feet were dry.

As the boots are suede it’s important to note that this fabric needs a bit of care. A suede protector will prevent any rain stains and it will also keep the colour. Suede can fade if you don’t look after it. I also try and brush my suede shoes and boots with a special wire brush from time to time to keep them looking smart. You can pick these up at a shoe repair shop for less than €10. It’s a handy piece of kit.

In terms of boot trends, you can’t really go wrong with an ankle boot this year. And you can start to wear them now, it’s not too cold yet so they work really well with a vintage tea dress or midi skirt. The skirt I’m wearing is from River Island and I picked this up during the summer to wear with t-shirts. I’m glad it’s getting some more wear now I have a good set of boots to style with them.

PurpleTag.ie have a great selection of boots including these, and the label range is nice and varied. I also love SPM and the Bourbon collection by Amy Huberman so take a look at those. If you fancy a pair of the style I’m wearing, you can click on this link.
