London Fashion Week AW16 may have been in February, but the fallout is just starting. Now we get to look at trends for next season as well as analysing the best of the street style (You can take a look at one of my favourite sites Who What Wear to check out the best of it from fashion month). I was not devoid of the odd attempt at a street style snap and thanks to some nice denim and accessories, I managed to get photographed just a few times. Result. But the main street style vibe I was aiming for this year was denim. Penneys and Primark have some amazing pieces which are so comfortable and affordable, that I had to stock up on some ripped skinnies, flares and some cute accessories to go with.
I wanted to mix and match my Penneys pieces with some other items from my fashion week wardrobe to achieve a comfortable look. Jeans are always my staple, and my new ones from Penneys are under €20. The denim is nice and stretchy but they keep their shape and wash really well. I love how Penneys keep these items so affordable, so it’s a great store to experiment with if you want to try a new trend.
My stripe blouse is one of my favourite pieces and I even bought two in different colours. I like to layer these under jumpers for a preppy look, but once the weather improves I plan on wearing these on their own with girlfriend style jeans and runners.
Speaking of runners my life saving shoes from London Fashion Week AW16 were these peephole lace ups which were only €10. They were so comfortable and with a hectic schedule including running to some shows on occasion, I was so glad to have these in my wardrobe. You can see how I styled them from my earlier blog post here.
Aside from my outfit posts, you can see my new vlog diary too which is on my You Tube channel. From show footage and the odd celeb, it shows the best bits from my week!
