Yep that’s Rosie up there. In her lingerie. But not just any lingerie, some she designed herself for Autograph at Marks and Spencer. Multi-talented is Rosie. I had the honour of being invited to London last week to the M&S head office for an intimate (no pun intended) gathering of the press (yeah Vogue were there!) to go through the collection presented by the lovely Rosie and Head of Lingerie Design at M&S, Soozie Jenkins. The collection has 33 beautifully crafted pieces all inspired by Rosie’s love of vintage and all things art deco.
Rosie says “To find inspiration for the collection, I trawled my favourite vintage shops and flea markets in London, LA and Paris where I found a treasure trove of gorgeous clothes and omate pieces of jewellery as well as pictures and patterns found in old design books and fashion magazines”. Rosie was very involved in the design process and says of the experience “The great thing about collaborating with M&S is that they really make you feel part of the family. I have worked really closely with Soozie Jenkinson and her team, bouncing ideas and inspirations back and forth. It’s been so fascinating creating the collection, from ideas stage, right through to production. It’s involved a lot of commitment with transatlantic meetings and many lengthy calls with Soozie often in different timezones, but I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, it’s been exciting and very rewarding.”
The presentation was really lovely, with Rosie and Soozie giving us an insight into each and every piece alongside the very gorgeous models in front of an elegant boudoir-inspired backdrop. Rosie herself is fabulous in person, and was relaxed and personable on the morning. Prices are very reasonable with bras from £22.50 and briefs from £12.50. Size selection is super with some pieces coming in a G cup size. On the range of sizes available Rosie is quite adamant that this lingerie is very much for everyone “It was really important for me to design a collection to complement women of all shapes and sizes and to empower women to look and feel great in their lingerie. I have included several knicker styles to enhance different body shapes, so you’ll find there’s a high waisted style for those wanting to cover up and cinch the waist in, and skimpier Brazilian knickers and thongs for a more daring look. I have also included some beautifully delicate wraps to be worn over the bra and knicker sets and there’s a cami and French knicker set which suits all figures.”
The collection is available in M&S stores in the UK and online here

On a final note, when asked about how the collaboration came about, her answer is what I did not expect “It was by a rather lucky coincidence! I was at M&S Head Office in London and had a quick chat with Soozie Jenkinson, the Head of Design for lingerie in passing. The more we talked, the more it became apparent that we shared the same passion for lingerie. We had a few more meetings and then the initial concept for Rosie for Autograph was born!”
