I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to buy a new Winter coat, and given that I cannot bear to move out of doors today, my excitement has got all the more prominent. It’s like a hurricane today, seriously. Summer must have been annoyed with us or something, as it decided to stand us up this year. To prepare for Coat attack this year I have started with the old reliable has-never-let-me-down brand, Marks and Spencer. The variety this year is really impressive and there’s a nice spectrum of colour in there with some lovely berry shades. If you are in the market for a casual coat, I love the one pictured above which can be styled to look really chic.
The nod to tweed is very welcome; and the check print above will make for a nice formal style, plus if you have a black coat already, now is the time to take a look at different textures and colours.
Now I still like military influences and the gold buttons are a great way to jazz up a dark shade. This looks amazing over skinny jeans and boots. Trés chic if you ask me.
Oh now the cocoon is the style of the season. I have seen some amazing ones, but this one has to be my favourite so far.
Saving the best until last, the coat above is my pick for Winter and I may just have to treat myself to this. Cosy but cool, I love the mix of fabrics to add a new level of detail and I figure that this is the most versatile of all.
Check out Marks and Spencer for the whole collection!
