styleisle-con – Helen O’Reilly

This month I talk to a very gorgeous lady with whom I have the pleasure of working with! Please say hello to Miss Production Manager and Actress, Helen O’Reilly!

Where do you like to shop?

Helen: I love the high street, it’s affordable and always on trend. Shops like topshop always have a great selection. I also love Urban Outfitters, Office, and Pennys of course! The ocassionally I find a few gems in vintage shops or Oxfam Vintage on Georges Street.

Describe your style!

Helen: I reckon my style is very laid back – I say that becuaes I rarely put much throught into what I wear! I hope it doesn’t show too often! I like to be comfortable, I’m always on the go, running ir cycling around the city so I am usuallu found in skinny jeans, converse, a t shirt or demin shirt, blinged up with some bright accessories, my thomas sabo ring which I gto for doing the IMTV awards – and which I adore. I also love short skirts and floral dresses for my uber girly days, though they can be risky choices for cycling!

If you could have any item of clothing what would it be?

Helen: My imagination is running wild here…! I’d love a David Koma dress, and I loved all the Sass & Bide Spring summer dresses!

Who are your style icons?

Helen: I would love to steal Alexa Chungs wardrobe, she managed to make every trend fit her style, rather than bend her personal style to suit trends and I admire that. I also love Drew Barrymore, she can go from effortless boho to uber hollywood glam in a flash, I’d love to be able to do that.

What is your favourite piece in your wardrobe at the mo?

Helen: I have leather shorts that I got from River Island last year that just go with everything, and they are sooo comfy.

What is your favourite fashion trend for this season?

Helen: I love colour blocking, its great to see strong bright colours and the blocking is fun and playful.
Are there any styles / trends you don’t like?

Helen: I think people should wear whatever they want – trends come and go and they dont always suit everyone, so if you like something and it makes you happy then wear it!
