“Tonight’s celebration truly reflected the theme of the Alexander Wang x H&M collection. It was like being at the ultimate meeting between fashion and sport, and it was perfect to launch it here in New York,” says Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s Creative Advisor. With only over a week to go to the launch of H&M x Alexander Wang, and you can tell that H&M are a bit excited from the comments from its Creative Director at their show last week in New York.
The look is certainly typical of Wang, with sporting influences apparent throughout; details like boxing glove key rings and the hockey sticks in the campaign imagery are a bit of a giveaway. H&M are the leaders in designer collaborations and thanks to the success of projects with Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo and Versace, we have high expectations of the Wang collection.
