The Golden Globes mark the start of the awards season for me. The dresses are always the fun bit, and if you are able to stay up all night to watch it and live tweet, then you have my respect. As, I was in my bed by 1230 and I am now having to look at the style, posthumously. Colour was not so popular last night, with neutral colours and black being very popular, as well as the fishtale, being the shape of the red carpet. So, let’s get to it. The lowdown.
Megan Fox (far right) wins out here in a stunning Dolce and Gabbana dress in exquisite lace. BUT Amy Adams simple dress by Marchesa is beautiful on her pale complexion, complimented by natural make up. Winner.
Bright red was not as popular this year, with the exception of Zooey Dechanel and Jennifer Lawerence. Winning her is Naomi Watts in a burgundy number by Zac Posen, a red carpet favourite of Kelly Osbourne also.
I was so happy to see the classic black dress make a red carpet come back. RHW looked sensational in a black number by Yves Saint Laurent with thigh high split (the thigh was a popular look this year, with Heidi Klum and Miranda Kerr also going for this leggy look). Eva Longoria went for Emilio Pucci (I loved the long sleeves). And looking demure in Alexander McQueen was Nicole Kidman, but for me RHW wins the black dress look last night.
Yep, Tay-Tay just did it for me in Donna Karen. This rich blackberry satin backless gown, will make Harry Styles come running back (even if she has written five songs about him in a week). The simplicity of this suits her innocent looks and blonde locks and if you ask me, the stylist here deserves a golden globe for such a super winning outfit.
