One thing about fashion week is that you can never predict the weather. This season it was nice, but that said, you tended to go from hot to cold all the time so arriving at shows out of the Tube feeling a sweaty mess was a regular occurrence. So, the key is layers and that’s exactly what I did with this outfit from Primark/Penneys.
The denim mini skirt is one of the most popular pieces this season, and this one was just €12. It sits high on your waist which I love as I am currently not liking my middle. As it sits away from my hips it’s so flattering to my pear shape. You can also tuck things in to the let the strong waist band cinch you in and provide definition.
Footwear is in abundance at Penneys, and these mid-calf boots have been my saviour. The heel is a great height and they are really comfortable. I know this as I trekked around London in them. Paired with black opaque tights, it gives length to your legs.
Finishing off with this shearling sleeveless jacket which has been one of the best buys for me this season so far. It’s so cosy, and can be layered over anything light to add warmth without adding volume. You can even try this over a polo neck (I must do that for a blog post!)
This may be casual but I feel nice and stylish. Most importantly, I’m warm but not overheating!
The look above is in store at Penneys/Primark right now.
