Extra: A trip to Bow and Pearl

If you are a boutique lover, then you will of course be familiar with Bow and Pearl, Ranelagh, Dublin. Stepping off the Luas in one of the social hubs of South Dublin, you are only a step away from this gem of a shop. Owner Bronagh O’Sullivan is passionate about fashion and following the completion of a Masters in Fashion Marketing, and placements with mega brands such as Oasis, her love of the rag trade took her into wholesale. Having worked for many great wholesalers over the years, Bronagh learned what women wanted from brands and started to listen to them more closely. She saw what the market needed and had the experience to now go it alone. Sitting in the beautifully designed interior of the Dublin 6 store, I am taken with her love of what she does. The constant flow of customers on this Thursday afternoon in January shows Bow and Pearl is sitting well in this market. With great footfall in a place like Ranelagh, it was a natural choice for a new boutique. Stocking labels like Soaked in Luxury (one of my personal favourites), People Tree, Louche, Lee Denim, Toki and Nabi, Gestuz and American Vintage, the boutique is gaining a great following including the odd celeb fan, including Amy Huberman, who officially opened the boutique. But recently, Bronagh also launched www.bowandpearl.com bringing all the great clothes and homewares to a larger audience.

If you are in the Ranelagh area, pop along and have a look.
