I have been obsessed with Eve Lom skin care since I was in college. Their moisturiser was of a higher price point when I was 19, and so I had to save my pennies to get it. And so, today was quite a treat as I got to chat to Amandine Isnard who is the Product Director at the brand who was at Harvey Nichols Dublin to launch the Eve Lom Radiance Perfecting Complexion products. Eve Lom has been an authority in the beauty industry for well over twenty years and by leveraging those years of experience and the technology and ingredients they have developed over this time, when they launch a new set of products you know they will be of the very best quality. Traditionally, Eve Lom’s skincare have been straightforward, containing just two or three active ingredients. And with this range, which has been two years in the making, it’s time to introduce some new ingredients to keep us looking radiant all day.
Amandine explained that their new hero ingredient comes from the humble raspberry, which is called BerryFlux Vita which works deep down to hydrate, firm, repair and protect. The combination of all these things will result in the restoration of elasticity and tone, reduce collagen depletion and of course keep our skin moisturised. So what’s in the range?
First up, it’s the Flawless Radiance Primer, which also has Sand Lilly extract. The primer has anti-inflammatory properties so for anyone (i.e. me) with angry skin, this will certainly help. Amandine says you can also use this as an eye cream! There are three new foundations in the range, starting with the one with the most coverage, Radiance Lift. The foundation is available in fifteen shades, and has an SPF 15 in it to protect. This also suits more mature skin, but when I tried it, I fell in love with it, due to the luminous look of my skin. For a medium kind of coverage, the Tinted Moisturiser is a lovely foundation-free option (even Nicola Moulton of Vogue said she loved this). And for light coverage, you can opt for the Mineral Powder Foundation which 100% natural, ideal for sensitive skin. And not to forget concealer! The Brilliant Cover concealer has excellent coverage and creates a soft-focus effect due to it’s light-diffusing formula.
As we approach Summer, you can add some bronzer to your make up bag as well, in two shades, Sunrise (pinky tone) and Sunset (a little more shimmer in this one).
It’s definitely worth checking out these products at Harvey Nicols and tomorrow (Saturday, February 22nd) at 12pm and 3pm, and Sunday at 12pm, Eve Lom will host an exclusive customer preview of the new Complexion range. A booking fee of €20 applies which is fully redeemable on products purchased. To book call 01 2910424 or email DublinEvents@Harveynichols.com
