We seriously need to to watch our skin at the moment, with this changing weather. One minute we are wrapped up to our eyeballs with scarves and the next we are de-layering as we overheat. And you see your skin is doing the same. I’ve had to keep my skin really hydrated this month, with a busy schedule as well as being outdoors a lot. So, I’ve been trying out some new products, and Aveda’s new Botanical Kenetics range has me intrigued. I know, it’s a bit of a mouthful, but it’s definitely one of my hero products for 2015.
Aveda have introduced three new products in this range: Intense Hydrating Soft Creme (€48) , Intense Hydrating Rich Creme (€48) and the Energising Eye Cream (€39). My skin is loving the soft cream right now as it’s a light texture with some super powers! So what’s in it? Well the range uses plant energy to support natural energy production in our own skin cells. As a result, skin can stay hydrated up to 24 hours. The ingredients are fascinating. Salicornia Herbacea is a sea short plant which has been proven to show that it stimulates skin cells’ natural water channels to help our skin absorb moisture. Organic Cupuacu Butter has lipids which are like the skin’s own and help it to retain moisture.
If you want to try these for yourselves, pop along to the Aveda counter at Brown Thomas in January for a new year treat!
