I have always had skin that has not been compliant and I have struggled over the years to find the right beauty products for pale skin as well as it’s changeable texture. But I’ve tried so many products over the years, that I have found some amazing things that work perfectly for paler skin tones. I tend to be a bit red too, so I need to find make up especially that gives an even complexion without being too dark. I hate that look of having a face that’s a different colour to the rest of me due to wearing products that don’t match up. So take a look at my top five products to help!

NARS SHEER GLOW
This foundation has been a long term favourite of mine. I wear “LIGHT2” which works really well in terms of match, and coverage. If, during summer, I get a little more colour, then I simply use another NARS product, Sun Wash Diffusing Powder – this is a bronzer but not one that’s very dark. I apply Sheer Glow with my fingers to give an even finish.
NARS SOFT MATTE CONCEALER
OK so another NARS product but this is one of the best concealers on the market, and one of the best beauty products for pale skin. I wear LIGHT1 Chantilly and I apply with a large concealer brush under my eyes, and with a pointed brush to cover any spots. It melts onto your skin without clogging it, and it’s one I wear on TV a lot too.
PS RICE POWDER
Penneys beauty range keeps expanding and this loose powder is a recent addition. I use this to create a matte finish around my oily nose and forehead. But, the colour is perfect for my skin tone. It’s not too yellow, which sometimes happens me with loose powder – even translucent ones. And at €4, you can’t go wrong!
WET N WILD HIGHLIGHTING POWDER
Highlighter does not always sit well on my skin – but this one from Wet n Wild has a peachy hue that my skin really likes. You don’t need a lot of this product to create a glow above your cheek bones, and make sure you moisturise a lot prior to using so it doesn’t stick to any dry patches.
BOBBI BROWN ILLUMINATING BRONZER
As you might have seen on my Instagram, I am going on holidays next week and this product is definitely coming with me! I use this in “Santa Barbara” and I apply it more like a blush than a bronzer. It picks up light beautifully and it doesn’t make my cheeks look too red either.
