There are so many amazing products out there to get our skin summer ready, and our make up bags nice and full for some time in the sunshine! I have been spending lot’s of time going through all the latest products to give you my edit of the best that’s out there for all kinds of occasions/needs. So what do I have today?

First up, it’s La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. This is really a hero product if I say so myself having always had issues with adult acne. The Effaclar Duo product line launched in 2009, but since then major developments have happened to give the product doubly better at tackling skin issues. Whether it’s blemishes, blocked pores, oiliness or uneven skin texture, this product knows how to manage them. But what has always annoyed me are the marks that spots can leave. So what does this product do to help. Using a new ingredient called Procerad, it tackles the skin surface to rebuild it and diffuse inflammation. I have been using the product for three weeks now, and there has been a dramatic improvement in the texture of my skin and scarring I had is most definitely fading. I have been using it twice daily under make up and honestly I am really impressed. Also, it won’t break the bank at €17.50 for 40ml.

Staying with skin care for a second, Olay’s latest product is definitely a winner as a primer. The Regenerist 10 minute miracle is exactly that, a little miracle. Basically, it takes 10 minutes for all the fab ingredients to get sucked into your skin, so it blurs and smooths fine lines and wrinkles, so you see why it works as a super primer. I used this under my make up, and it helped my skin look smooth and bump free, but also held my make up in place all day. There is a huge range of Regenerist products, but this one is a superstar for me right now. It’s €38.49 RRP nationwide.

Alright so enough about skin, what about make up! Urban Decay have launched a huge set of eyeliners all of which are easy to apply and don’t budge! But out of all of them, my fav is the Super Saturated Ultra Intense Cream Eyeliner (long title, huh? €22/£16). Apply this along the lash line with an angled brush (the UD one is amazing at €15/£12) and right out to create a winged look. Trust me, this line will stay put for hours. Then if you like liner on your bottom lashes, try the Glide on Eye Pencil (€20/£15) which can be smudged to add more drama to your eye make up.

And lastly, I cannot tell you how substantial the last releases from Bourjois are! The one to watch out for though is the Rouge Edition Velvet lip colour. It has a very bold matte finish (very catwalk inspired) which glides on and feels very light on your lips. It comes in eight colours, with my pick being 02 Frambourjoise. It’s a rich cerise pink and I have worn it to lots of events recently, where it did not move off my lips all evening. The applicator is made from bevelled foam which picks up just enough product for one application. You can also skip the lip liner with this one, as the matte texture makes it easy to define along your lips. And, talk about pigment, it’s rich!! The Rouge Edition Velvet is out now and is £8.99/€12.49.
