Alexa Chung fronts Vero Moda campaign

Alexa Chung for Vero Moda

I have such a style crush on Alexa Chung even back as far as her days on T4. She never deviates from her style which I politely called nerdy chic (meant in the best possible way), with brogues, vintage style dresses and her elfin presence. She and Vero Moda have just announced that they are to team up again for Autumn Winter 2012 with a beautiful shoot (shot in London) taking inspiration from Jane Birkin. This influence is heavily visible in the sixties style pieces with patterns, colours and fabrics being very nicely retro. Houndstooth, herringbone and leather are prominant; so too is the cocoon coat (I have seen these in nearly every collection I have reviewed for next season). The collection is guaranteed to be affordable and no doubt the brand are delighted to have such a stylish brand ambassador –

“Working with Alexa Chung has been a pleasure and lots of fun,” says VERO MODA’s head of PR and image, Katja Hundrup. “VERO MODA’s design is taking the brand further towards the top of international high street fashion, so it’s only natural for us to work with someone with such an international and fashion- forward profile as Alexa Chung. We are very happy to extend our collaboration until the end of 2012.”
