Having taken on the Eco Age challenge back in October, I found myself becoming more and more conscious of the fabrics I wear and how they are made. I have a new found appreciation of recycled and upcycled clothing and jewellery. So, on that note, this week I got up close and personal with a new eco friendly accessory brand called Alex and Ani. It’s flagship store is newly located in the jewllery hall at Arnotts, Dublin and getting to play dress up with the amazing range of bracelets was a lot of fun for this jewellery fanatic. In essence, Alex and Ani which is made in the US and designed by Carolyn Rafaelian, channels positive energy through their delicate bangles, which are fully adjustable, through symbols such as the Alex and Ani Hummingbird bracelet, as well as birth stones and Zodiac charms.
My choice of bracelets (pictured) include stackable thin bangles, my initial, a vintage classic bracelet and a St. Anthony charm. I really like how I can wear these all at once, or separately depending on my outfit and of course, my mood. Prices start at €26 to €63, making Alex and Ani jewellery an affordable trinket for gifts this Christmas, or a little treat for yourself.
